Harris County Hospital District (HCHD) The Harris County Hospital District (HCHD) is the fourth largest public metropolitan hospital system in the United States, with nearly 50, 000 annual admissions, more than 728,000 annual outpatient visits, approximately 11,000 births a year, and more than 186,000 annual emergency room visits.
HCHD offers specialized health care services ranging from infant and childhood immunizations, through maternity and adult care, to rehabilitation and geriatric services. The Hospital District does not offer transplant services or full range dialysis, and has limitations on selected medical specialties. |
